Special Needs
Letter to Parents and Students
Dear Parents and Students,
I hope this letter finds you and your children well and healthy. As we face these difficult times and challenges with the Coronavirus, I would like to assure that our staff will continue to provide optional supports for your children.
Our special education staff have put together optional resources for students and families to access. While these resources are not required, they offer learning opportunities while we are not in session.
During this time of closure, our staff will continue to plan and prepare for future special education meetings. If you had a meeting scheduled during the closure, your child's case manager will be rescheduling that meeting when school resumes. At this time, all special education student meetings are postponed until school resumes.
If you are in need of meals for your children, please check your school's website for meal pick up dates and times.
You are welcome to contact your child's teachers, therapists and support staff through district email. Please keep in contact with our district website and social media posts if you are able. I am happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have during this time.
Sincerely,
Shawnna Calopisis
